    Donald L. Goodroe Sr., 90, of Chittenango passed away Wednesday. Don was formerly of Westport, NY. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Don worked for the Addis Co., McKays Shoes and managed Naturalizer Shoes at Shopping town Mall in Dewitt. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Shirley Goodroe, his sister Shirley Baird, his daughter Patricia Goodroe, his son Donald Goodroe Jr., his sister-in-law Phyllis Kelly and was blessed with 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His wishes for a private service will be honored.

    We got to know Mr. Goodroe at Shoppingtown Mall. His store was next door to our store. On slow days we would sit on the bench outside our stores, talk and watch the mall walkers go by. On busy days we would stick our heads in each other's stores and ask "can you spare some ones, quarters, etc." After the mall closed down and we all retired, whenever we saw him in town, he would always call out to us "Hi Rob, hi Roseann, how are you doing"? He was a great guy, we're so glad to have known him. Our condolences to his family. Rob & Roseann Robbins Chittenango, NY
