    Richard Smith, 86, of Chittenango passed away Sunday at the Grand Nursing Center. Born in Johnson City, Richard was a long time resident of the Chittenango area. He was retired from the Endicott-Johnson Shoe Co. Richard served with the Army National Guard in Binghamton. He was an avid NY Yankees fan. Surviving is his daughter, Bonnie Newton (Jim) of North Chittenango, his son Michael Smith (Angie) of Virginia, his step-daughter Ermina Weiland of Johnson City, his sister Bonnie Webb of Bainbridge, several grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday at the G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Drive, Chittenango. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango. A calling hour will be from 10:00-11:00 am prior to the service.
