    Raymond Arthur Mann
    April 8, 2022

Raymond Arthur Mann passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2022, at the Syracuse VA Medical Center.  He was 88 years old. Ray was a pillar of the Chittenango Community for more than 60 years and loved volunteering through the Chittenango Rotary Club. Ray was loved by family and friends alike. Ray was never the fanciest dresser or cared much for superficial things.  He owned old clothes, had an old house, an old car, an old boat, and an old dog.  Instead of the superficial, Ray was a caring and loving man who valued character in himself and in others. Ray was always the first to volunteer to help anyone in need.  Later in life, Ray adopted two sons, Cheyenne and CJ who he took under his wings as they were in need of a father. Ray was a kind soul. Ray loved his family, friends, his dog Achilles, his community, blues, Jazz, Dixieland music, watching the sunset from his boat and a good beer. Ray is survived by his wife Dolly, son Terry (Robin), daughter Judi Wehner (Russ) all of Chittenango, and son Chris (Jennifer) of Chapel Hill, NC.  He is also survived by his six grandchildren (Kaley, Jacob, Meghan, Morgan, Jessica, and Travis) all who loved him dearly.  Ray’s family is comforted by the fact that he is now in God’s loving arms. Memorial services will be 6:00 pm Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Drive, Chittenango. Calling hours will be 4-6 pm Thursday prior to the service. Contributions can be made to The Chittenango Rotary Club, The Bed n Bowl or Wanderers’ Rest Humane Association.

Ray Mann was my fathers best friend Phillip Halton and my uncle Chuck will miss him very much!

So sorry for your loss, Ray was a great man 🙏
