    Betty Gillette, 91, of Chittenango passed away Monday evening. Born in Oneida, Betty was a resident of the Chittenango area since 1955. She was employed as a Certified Health Assistant at the Stonehedge Nursing Home in Chittenango for 28 years retiring in 2005. Betty was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Chittenango and a past member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Town of Sullivan Leisure Time Club. She was a past member of the North Chittenango Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Sullivan Community Council and a volunteer at the Chittenango Landing Canal Museum. She was predeceased by her husband William in 1988 and her son Kevin in 2014. Surviving are her sons, Ronald of North Syracuse, Mark (Donna) of Camillus and Patrick (Carol) of Lakeport, her daughters, Linda Burraston (Jay) of Kern, Utah, Janet Gillette (Jim) of Taberg and Karen Gillette of Syracuse, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am Monday, September 20, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Church, Chittenango. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango. Calling hours will be 1-4 pm Sunday at the G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Drive, Chittenango. Contributions in Betty’s memory may be made to the Town of Sullivan Parks and Recreation Program, Legion Drive, Chittenango, NY 13037.
