    Edward J. Northrup, 11/6/2020, 80, passed away on Friday with his family by his side. Born in Syracuse, NY, Mr. Northrup, known affectionately by many other names; Husband, Daddy, Son, Brother, Brother-in-law, Friend, Uncle Eddie, Big Ed, Big Daddy, Bird-Man, Poppi, Cookie-Man, Coach, resided in Chittenango for the past 57 years. He worked for Precision Autos and retired after 30 years of service. Mr. Northrup was passionate about his years of coaching community baseball. His joy of serving others was demonstrated by cooking at church picnics and family reunions, having pool parties for the team, bringing laughter and life everywhere he went. Big Daddy loved playing cards, taking care of and watching “His Birds”, being with family and friends, talking about the old days, fishing at Aunt Katie & Uncle Billy's Camp, the NY Yankees and SU sports. He is predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Dorothy Northrup; brothers Raymond, Charles, Samuel, Bernard; survived by his "Bride" of 57 years, JoAnne (Dwyer) Northrup; his brother, Arthur Northrup, his sons, Edward J. Northrup, II; David M. Northrup (Sandy); his daughters, Sharon E. Darton (Jeffrey); Lisa M. Stratton (Daniel); grandchildren, Matthew and Miles Northrup; Harrison and Hunter Husnay; Maddie and Danielle Stratton; and great-grandchildren Dominic and Derrick West; several brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 10th from 3pm-6pm at the G.F.Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Dr, Chittenango. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 11th at 10am at St. Patrick's Church, 1341 Murray Dr, Chittenango. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt.
