Michael W Larkin, 81, of Cazenovia, passed on Tuesday November 3rd, 2020. Michael was born in Oneida, the son of John and Juanita Larkin. He graduated from Cazenovia High School and then went on to be a well-respected union truck driver, who preferred the local freight routes so that he could be home every night in his own bed. Michael affectionately known as Mikey or Mickey was a lifer of the Cazenovia area with his surviving wife of 59 years, Sharon Larkin, where they raised four children: Steven Larkin of Georgia, Juanita Barden of Florida, Penny Larkin of New York, and Michele Takatz of Colorado. Michael is also survived by his stepbrother, Chase Davis, and six grandchildren. Mikey was a man you could count on. He was consistently early to his appointments and the people whose lives he has touched and left behind certainly wish this was one event he had been late for, but we know he is at peace and watching over us all as our angel now – and maybe evening laughing at us a bit too. Private services will be held for the family on Monday at 10:00 am in St. James Church in Cazenovia and live streamed from their website for others who wish to “attend”. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Cazenovia. In honor of Michael contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the CAVAC (Cazenovia Area Volunteer Ambulance Corps).

Sharon and Kids, Mick Larkin, a man with a great sense of humor and a heart of gold. Whether trailering an old chicken house to help a young boy realize a dream, or helping to round up loose cows out of Route 20 on a moment's notice, or even commenting on a teenager girl’s “goofy hat” in church, this is one man that will never be forgotten. Though we are saddened to hear Mick has passed on, we take comfort knowing our lives are that much richer because of him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Peace and love, Steve and Lois Young
