    Richard J. Kiehl, 86, of North Syracuse passed away Sunday at University Hospital. Born in Syracuse, Dick was a life resident of the Syracuse area. He graduated from Vocational High School at the age of 16 and began his career as a tool and die maker. He later was a manufacturing engineer retiring from Lambert Fabricators in Baldwinsville and also was a self employed consultant operating RJK Maintenance. Dick was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a former member of Friedens United Church of Christ and was a Free & Accepted Mason. Dick will be remembered as a devoted husband and father, his wife was his life and his family was his world. He brought a smile to everyone he met and he will be greatly missed by everyone whose life he touched. He was predeceased by his parents, Jacob and Augusta Kiehl, his infant son Scott, his brother Albert and his sister Caroline. Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Kathleen Kiehl (Johnstone), his son Gregg Kiehl (Don Dunham) of Cortland, his daughter Cynthia Brown (Stephen) of Manlius, his grandchildren, Courtney and Andrew, his great-grandchildren, Shayla and Mariana and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Syracuse at a later date. Contributions in his memory may be made to Loretto-Cunningham, 700 E. Brighton Ave, Syracuse, NY 13205.
