    Chittenango: June 21: 2019, 52 years old.  Matt is survived by his wife of 18 years, Linda Fox Martin, and son, Luke; his mother Carol (Sis) Martin; siblings Mimi (Jim) O'Brien, Michael Martin, Paul (Elizabeth) Martin, Adam (Andrea) Martin; and in laws, Walt and Fran Fox.  He is predeceased by his father, J. Douglas Martin, Sr., and older brother, J. Douglas Martin, Jr.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Matt. Matt was a graduate of Pittsford Sutherland High School and Fairfield University.  Matt's big smile, infectious laugh and legendary hugs will be missed by friends and family alike.  An avid fisherman, he was at home on the water fishing pole in hand.  He competed in bass fishing tournaments throughout the Northeast, landing numerous awards and accolades. Matt's funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Cazenovia, NY (6 Green Street Cazenovia).  There will be no prior calling hours.  Those who wish may contribute to Mass Gen.     Dear Linda, Luke, and the entire Martin and Fox families, Our deepest condolences on Matt’s passing. We will hold his big, joy filled presence close and miss his gregarious warmth.     Linda and Luke: There is nothing more precious than love. With that in mind, Matt was a very wealthy man! Loved by everyone who knew him, he made so many lives better just by his presence. His infectious smile was one in a million. God has another angel with him today. Love you and thinking of you.

    Matt was a class act ! Great guy and a great fisherman. I worked a couple boat shows with him for Ranger Boats . Everyone liked Matt... he will for sure be missed. Gone way too soon... RIP my friend !
