    Doris M. Collins, 88, of Chittenango passed away Friday at the Grand Nursing Center in Chittenango. Born in the Town of Sullivan, Doris was a life resident of the Chittenango area. Prior to retirement, Doris was the bookkeeper for the family owned Collins Automotive in Chittenango for 50 years. She was an avid bowler competing in several leagues in the Chittenango area. She will be remembered for loving flowers, music and singing. She was a member of the former Free Methodist Church in North Chittenango. She was predeceased by her husband Charles “Gabby” Collins in 2001, her parents Julius and Goldie Centner, her brothers, Milton, Everett and Curtis Centner, her sisters, Mildred Miller, Aletha Marshall and Thelma Heimermann. Surviving is her daughter, Susan Collins (Tim Ratnour) of Chittenango, her son, Kenneth (Renee Lemessurier-Collins) of Chittenango, her grandchildren, Gene Stankivitz III (Candice), Tyler McCarthy, Gabrielle Collins and Cameron Collins, 2 great-grandchildren, Elena Stankivitz and Gene Stankivitz IV, sister-in-laws, Betty Centner and Pauline Souter of Canastota, Joan Chandler and Shirley Collins of Chittenango, brothers and sister-in-laws, Don and Wanda Collins of Chittenango and Paul and Pat Collins of Florida and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the G.F. Zimmer Funeral Home, 702 Legion Drive, Chittenango. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Chittenango. Calling hours will be 4-7 pm Monday at the funeral home. Contributions in her memory may be made to Clear Path for Veterans, 1223 salt Springs Rd. Chittenango, NY 13037.
